A crowd gathered at Birds Hill Park Friday for a Winnipeg Folk Festival sing-along with Canadian music legend Bruce Cockburn.

Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman — the founders of Choir! Choir! Choir!, an open community choir in Toronto — led the sing-along for a Folk Festival workshop.

Choir! Choir! Choir! conducted the crowd in a rendition of Cockburn's Lovers in a Dangerous Time.

Cockburn himself got into the action by joining the group on stage.

The Choir! Choir! Choir! founders are known for arranging large impromptu sing-alongs.

People in the crowd were given sheets with lyrics and were directed from the stage on when to add their voices to the chorus.

The Winnipeg Folk Festival continues until Sunday.
