Assiniboine Park screens Hunger Games, Cinderella for free this summer

This year, Finding Nemo, Cinderella and Home are planned for the early, family-friendly showings.

Assiniboine Park has revealed its summer movie lineup for 2015.

Each August, the park shows movies on an outdoor screen for free.

This year, Finding Nemo, Cinderella and Home are planned for the early, family-friendly showings.

Later screenings include The Theory of Everything, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Tomorrowland.

Assiniboine Park Conservancy is also bringing back jazz in the park, a free Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra show on June 28 and three days of ballet in the park with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet from July 29-31.

Full schedule for summer movies at Assiniboine Park:

  • Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. — Big Hero 6
  • Aug. 7 at 9:15 p.m. — Theory of Everything
  • Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. — Finding Nemo
  • Aug. 14 at 9:15 p.m. — Tomorrowland
  • Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. — Cinderella
  • Aug. 21 at 9:15 p.m. — Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. — Home
  • Aug. 28 at 9:15 p.m. — The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
