Arrests made in stolen Jets tickets investigation

Two more Winnipeg men are facing charges for selling stolen Jets tickets.

Two more Winnipeg men are facing charges for selling stolen Jets tickets.

The investigation started last December whena 21-year-old man was charged after turning himself in, police said.

Of the two latest arrests, the first came on Feb. 7. A 19-year-old man is facing two counts of fraud under $5,000 and was released from custody on a promise to appear in court.

Then on Feb. 22, a 21-year-old man was arrested at a home on Young Street in the city's West End. He has been charged with 11 counts of fraud and two counts of possession of goods obtained by crime.

He has been detained in custody.

The tickets were stolen during break-ins at homes in the city. Six people paid more than $4,200 for stolen tickets during the past few months, police said.

Police urge the public to only to buy Jets tickets from an appropriate ticket exchange venue.
