TVDSB high schools to close Wednesday for walkout
The board has decided to shut down schools if teachers walkout for one day
High schools under the Thames Valley District School Board could be closed for one day next week if teachers follow through on a one-day walkout.
In a statement, Associate Director Jeff Pratt said the school board hopes an agreement will be reached before the planned province-wide walkout on December 4th.
"Student achievement and well-being remain our priority. As such, TVDSB has no other option but to close all secondary schools to students as there would not be sufficient supervision to ensure student safety," Pratt wrote.
More to come.
