The Ontario College of Teachers is moving forward with a disciplinary hearing for a former St. Thomas vice principal whom they accuse of having a romantic relationship with a female student.

The professional misconduct allegations against Michael George Dennis are numerous and have not been proven, but the hearing notice outlines physical, sexual and psychological abuse against the student during the 2014-2015 school year.

It's alleged the vice principal communicated with the student via text message, Facebook and Snapchat, sharing sexual and adult content.

Lawyers representing the College also claim Dennis took the student overnight with his family and gave her gifts of money, clothes and services.

Dennis is also accused of using his own name as the student's emergency contact and taking her off school property without parental permission.

Dennis was fired from the Thames Valley District School Board in August 2017.

His disciplinary hearing is scheduled for November 14, with three additional days set aside for proceedings.

CBC has not yet reached Dennis for comment.
