Teen killed by gunshot at large gathering in southwest London

An 18-year-old man was killed in the early hours of Saturday after police said he was shot in a rural area on the southwestern edge of London.

The shooting happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday

An 18-year-old man was killed in the early hours of Saturday after police said he was shot at an apparent party in a rural area on the southwestern edge of London.

Police said in a statement released eight hours after the incident that the victim was transported to hospital at approximately 1:15 a.m. where he died shortly after arriving. 

They said he was attending a large gathering in the area of Pack Road and Grand Oak Cross, west of Colonel Talbot Road. 

Suspects have not been arrested with police saying the investigation is in the early stages. 

They are asking anyone with information to call the London Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
