London police say they're investigating after two female students from Western University reported being sexually assaulted Friday evening.

In a statement posted to their news portal, Western University said a man approached two women outside the fenced-in concert venue on University College hill and touched them inappropriately.

The incident was reported to campus police, and turned over to London police, the statement reads.

It also says campus police have increased their foot patrols, and that students are encouraged to walk to and from campus with a friend, a small group, or orientation leaders.

London police have released few details about the incident, but confirmed an investigation by their Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit was underway.
