Another sure sign that winter is here is the welcome for Londoners to lace up their skates and enjoy the ice at Victoria Park, Storybook Gardens and Covent Garden Market.

The City of London says staff are expected to have the rink at Victoria Park ready for Saturday, along with the skating trail at Storybook Gardens.

"Londoners continue to receive the vaccine and continue to follow public health guidelines, making this announcement another indicator of the payoff for everyone's diligence and hard work," said London Mayor Ed Holder. "Our concern for safety is still top-of-mind, but we're so happy to bring another holiday staple back for Londoners to enjoy."

The city is asking everyone to follow health precautions, including physical distancing and mask wearing. If a skating rink is too busy or crowded, the city is asking for people to wait for others to leave or return at a later time.
