Seasonal worker from Jamaica identified as victim in fatal crash near Otterville

Provincial police have identified the victim in a fatal crash in Norwich Township on July 9 as 41-year-old Jermaine Booth of Jamaica.

Provincial police have identified the victim in a fatal crash in Norwich Township last week as 41-year-old Jermaine Booth of Jamaica.

Booth was killed when the silver SUV he was driving left the road and rolled over into a field on Potters Road near Otterville, just before 7 a.m. on July 9.

Four other men who were passengers in the vehicle were seriously injured. Oxford County OPP later said two were determined to have "life-altering" injuries.

All five of the men were seasonal labourers from Jamaica, OPP said in a news release on Monday.

The crash is still under investigation and OPP are asking anyone witnesses to call 1-888-310-1122.
