Just when you thought downtown couldn't get more gridlocked, here comes another major road closure, this one on Talbot Street, from King Street to York Street.

The closure began Tuesday morning and will continue for approximately three months, according to city officials. It's part of the 2019 York-Talbot Sewer Separation project.

Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be able to get through this block at most times during construction.

However, those travelling to destinations in the local traffic area will only have access from the west via the intersection of Ridout and York streets.

Orange traffic control signs and construction staff will guide drivers.

Motorists travelling eastbound through the downtown are advised to use King Street or find an alternate route.
