Condolences pouring in for teen killed in Monday crash

"There are no words that seem right at this time," reads a message on the obituary page of Owen Bakker. "Such an amazing boy who was growing into an amazing young man!"

"There are no words that seem right at this time," reads a message on the obituary page of Owen Bakker. "Such an amazing boy who was growing into an amazing young man!"

That is just one of the many messages of condolence for the family of 14-year old Owen Bakker. 

Bakker was one of three teens killed Monday morning in a crash near Listowel. 

The other two were the driver, Dennis Linthorst, 17, and Ivan Kuepfer, 19, one of three passengers in the vehicle.

OPP said the boys worked together. The vehicle they were in left Brussels Line, near Listowel, and hit a tree at about 7:45 a.m. 

Another passenger, a male in his twenties, was taken to hospital in serious condition. His name has not been released. 

Funeral arrangements can be found online for two of the young men. 

Bakker was from Elmwood, south of Owen Sound. That's where visitation will be held Friday evening at the Brian E. Wood Funderal home from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. His funeral will be held in the home's Chapel on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The family has asked for donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy.

Ivan Kuepfer was from Clifford, Ont., also south of Owen Sound.  He was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith, according to his obituary. Friends and family are being received at his parents' home, where the funeral will be held Thursday morning. 

Funeral arrangements for Dennis Linthorst were not posted online.

The obituary for Owen Bakker is the only site where comments can be read publicly.
