'Good old hockey game' goes artsy at Gibson Gallery exhibit

The Michael Gibson Gallery is unveiling a unique show this Saturday featuring works from accomplished and amateur artists alike.

The Michael Gibson Gallery in London, Ont. is featuring a diverse array of media by 19 artists, including Greg Curnoe, Maura Fiorese and Peter Doig. 3:13

The Michael Gibson Gallery is unveiling a unique hockey-themed exhibit this Saturday featuring works from accomplished and amateur artists alike.

"It could be argued that hockey is the glue that holds Canada together," said Michael Gibson, owner of Michael Gibson Gallery.

The Hockey Show features a diverse array of media by 19 artists, including Greg Curnoe, Maura Fiorese and Peter Doig. There are paintings, sculptures, photographs, collectibles and stop-animation video.

The opening reception is Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at 157 Carling St. The exhibit runs until Jan. 4, 2020.
