An adult female drove her car through the front window of the Shoppers on Southdale and Adelaide.

The four door hatchback eventually stopped inside the cosmetics section of Shoppers Drug Mart at Southdale and Adelaide. Police say no fatalities were reported.

A woman drove into a Shoppers Drug Mart in London's south-end Wednesday morning smashing into the cosmetic section and shuttering the store for the rest of the day.

It happened at the Adelaide Street and Southdale Road location at around 10:15 a.m..

The four-door hatchback drove in through the front window and came to a stop without injuring any shoppers. The driver was taken to hospital as precaution.

Police were on the scene for most of the morning and said that the investigation is ongoing.

According to an employee at the Shoppers, this isn't the first time a car has driven into the franchise. In January, another vehicle hit the front of the store but in that case, did not break through the walls.

There's also been a series of recent crashes in London where vehicles have slammed into buildings, in some cases causing significant damage.

In October, a man was charged with impaired driving after he drove into a building in the Blackfriars neighbourhood.

Most memorable for Londoners was the crash in the Old East Village that caused an explosion destroying a part of a residential neighbourhood.

Police have not said if charges will be laid in Wednesday's crash.
