Find out when Santa Claus is coming to town in and around Waterloo region

It's parade season and Santa Claus is making the rounds.

You'd better watch out, because there may be traffic delays when the parades are on

The big man in red is coming to town this weekend, so be prepared for festivities and traffic delays.

Kitchener-Waterloo Santa Claus Parade

10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17

Parade route begins at Frederick Street, heads north on Weber Street and ends at Erb Street East.


Cambridge Santa Claus Parade

6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17

Parade route begins on Hespeler Road at Dunbar Road and travels down Hespeler Road to Langs Drive.


Guelph Santa Claus Parade

1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18

Parade route begins at Powell Street and Norfolk Street, travels down Norfolk Street to Quebec Street, then travels down Quebec Street to Wyndham Street and it ends at Carden Street.


Ayr — Saturday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m.

The parade route starts on Northumberland Street at Inglis Street and travels down Northumberland to downtown Ayr. The parade turns left onto Stanley Street and ends at the Ayr Library.

Elora — Saturday, Nov. 24 at 6:15 p.m.

Theme this year is a Very Beary Christmas.

Puslinch (Aberfoyle) — Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m.

The parade begins at the fire hall then east on 34 to Brock Road then south on Brock to Maple Leaf Lane, west on Maple Leaf to the Puslinch Community Centre grounds. Santa will have goodies for all the children.

Stratford — Sunday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m.

The day starts with caroling at city hall, with free refreshments. At 4:45 p.m., floats make their way from the Allman Arena to city hall. At 5 p.m. the first float arrives at corner of Ontario Street and Downie Street, turning the corner toward city hall and at 6:15 p.m., Santa and his reindeer will arrive as the final float in the parade.

CP Holiday Train — Nov. 29

The train will stop in Cambridge (Galt) at 4 p.m. and Ayr at 5:25 p.m.

Elmira — Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.

The parade route moves through downtown Elmira.

Hespeler —​ Dec. 1 at noon

After the parade, join Hespeler Village Neighbourhood Association at Hespeler Scout House in Forbes Park for hot chocolate and hot apple cider.

Baden —​ Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m.

The parade route starts at Sandhills and Snyders Road and travels up Snyders Road towards town and ends at Ejs. After the parade follow Santa to the Wilmot Seniors Woodworking Shop at 27 Beck St to take your own pictures with Santa Claus.

Fergus — Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m.

The parade starts at Beatty Line and Hill Street W., turns on St. Andrew Street W., turns on St. David Street N., and turns on Hill Street W. and ends at Beatty Line.

New Hamburg — Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.

Downtown New Hamburg

Christmas Tyme in Wellesley — Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:45 p.m.

The evening includes a parade, live nativity, visit with Santa and a tree lighting with caroling. It takes place in the downtown area, on Queen's Bush Road between Nafziger Road and Maple Leaf Street.

Breakfast with Santa in St. Jacobs — Saturday, Dec. 8

St. Agatha — Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m.

Rockwood Farmers' Santa Claus Parade — Thurs. Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

Check out the tractors fully decked out in Christmas lights. The parade route moves along Main Street and Highway 7.

St. Clements Santa Claus Parade — Dec. 15, 2018, 1 p.m.

New Dundee —​ Dec. 16 at 12:30 p.m.
