OPP looking for driver who may have witnessed fatal crash near Drayton

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help to identify a driver who may have witnessed a fatal collision on Wellington Country Road 8, south-east of Drayton on Nov. 28.

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help to identify a driver who may have witnessed a fatal collision near Drayton last month.

The head-on crash between a truck and a sedan happened on Wellington County Road 8, at around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 28.

The 20-year-old driver of the sedan, who was identified as Lukas Popovic of Moorefield, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 35-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Wellington County OPP are looking to speak with the driver of a silver or light coloured mini-van that was travelling south-west on Wellington Road 8 at the time of the crash.

OPP say the driver is not believed to have caused the collision but may have seen what happened.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is still underway, and OPP say they would like to speak to any witnesses before it is concluded.
