2 candidates seek only open council seat in North Dumfries

The mayor and three councillors have been acclaimed in North Dumfries, but there is a race in Ward 1.

Mayor, 3 councillors acclaimed in township

There is just one council race in the Township of North Dumfries in Monday's municipal election.

The following people have been acclaimed in the township:

  • Mayor Sue Foxton.
  • Ward 2 Coun. Derrick Ostner.
  • Alida Wilms in Ward 3.
  • Scott Tilley in Ward 4.

Ward 1 race

Two people are running in Ward 1:

  • Rod Rolleman (incumbent).
  • Timea Brenner.

Neither responded to CBC K-W's survey.

Rod Rolleman is a restaurant co-owner and owns the screenprinting company Schooltee Inc.

Timea Brenner is the founder of Here To There Market Events.

How to vote in North Dumfries

People in North Dumfries can vote via the internet or using traditional paper ballots.

Online voting runs from now until 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24.

People can vote in-person at ward specific locations on Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All residents will vote for regional chair and school board trustees.
