Teen arrested at Kitchener motel faces human trafficking, child porn charges

An 18-year-old man faces numerous charges including human trafficking and distributing child pornography after a police investigation in Kitchener.

An 18-year-old man faces numerous charges after being arrested as part of a human trafficking investigation, the Waterloo Regional Police Service says.

Officers with the service's special victims human trafficking unit received information about a young female being trafficked.

The officers were able to find her and the girl was treated at hospital. She was then taken "to a place of safety" as part of the investigation, police said. Her age was not revealed by police. 

An 18-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday at a motel in Kitchener.

The man faces charges that include human trafficking, advertising sexual services, procuring a person under 18, distribution of child pornography, uttering threats and receiving material benefits from sexual services.
