Man charged after sexual assaults in Kitchener apartment elevator

A man entered an elevator on two separate occasions and sexually assaulted women, Waterloo Regional Police Service said.

A 28-year-old man faces charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement after police investigated two separate reports of women being sexually assaulted in the elevator of their apartment building.

Waterloo Regional Police Service said two victims reported they were sexually assaulted inside an elevator at the apartment building on Mooregate Crescent in Kitchener. The first assault was Sept. 5. The second was on Oct. 4.

A man was arrested on Oct. 5 and has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, sexual interference and forcible confinement.
