Many people say they've been waiting years to be able to attend live outdoor concerts again

The ground shook with every beat — and music took over the streets in downtown Kitchener on Sunday.

People swayed and danced with the swirling rhythms and blues at the Kitchener Blues Festival, which attracted large groups of people all over the downtown area.

Many of the attendees were locals, but a number of others said they'd driven hours to spend the week at the festival.

The four-day event ended on Sunday. It has not been able to take place at such a large scale since the pandemic began.
