House of Cards mastermind Frank Underwood's BlackBerry ringtone sought by iPhone users

Is the popularity of a BlackBerry ringtone among iPhone users who like House of Cards just another one of Frank Underwood's schemes?

Could it be another one of Frank Underwood's schemes?

The central character in Netflix's political thriller, House of Cards, has a BlackBerry like many in Washington, D.C., and it turns out his phone ringtone is super popular among fans of the show who own iPhones.

Underwood, portrayed by actor Kevin Spacey, makes frequent use of his phone in the show, to call friends and text foes. (Mostly he considers everyone foes).

The ringtone is called the "BlackBerry Spirit" and while BlackBerry itself makes the ringtone available for free to its users, iPhone users have been paying $1.29 in the iTunes store for a version they can use.

The third season of House of Cards was released on Netflix today.
