Hot, humid Sunday in store for Waterloo region

Sunday is gearing up to be hot and humid in Waterloo region.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 27 C, with a mix of sun and cloud for most of the day.

There is also a risk of a thunderstorm this evening and a chance of showers overnight. Temperatures will drop to 11 C.

The holiday Monday will be slightly cooler, with a high of 18 C. Environment Canada is also forecasting a 40 per cent chance of showers in the late morning and early afternoon.

The start of the week is looking warm and sunny, with clear skies and a high of 19 C for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
