Busker punched in the face while performing, Guelph police say

A Guelph man is facing charges after a busker was assaulted outside a business on Wellington Street Wednesday night.

A Guelph man is facing several charges after a busker was assaulted Wednesday night.

Guelph police said two men were leaving a business on Wellington Street just before 7 p.m. when they approached a busker playing guitar and began shouting threats at him.

Police said the busker was then shoved and punched in the face after he said he was going to report the threats to police.

The busker suffered minor injuries. 

A 32-year-old man was charged with uttering threats and assault.
