Man wanted for stealing gas in Waterloo region, Guelph: Police

A man is wanted for several gas-and-dashes in Waterloo region and Guelph, police say.

The man has been seen driving a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with the Ontario plate AW14601. The truck was stolen from Fergus on Dec. 8.

Waterloo regional police released images of a man and the truck. The man is white, bald or he has a shaved head, he's wearing jeans and a jacket that is a grey with a red hood and sleeves.

The truck in the image has a lime green tarp covering the back and the tailgate is black.

Guelph police say someone driving the truck was involved in an altercation with officers on Wednesday where "the vehicle changed directions and swerved toward a cruiser before leaving the area of Norfolk Street at a high rate of speed."

Both Guelph police and Waterloo regional police say the suspect has filled up the truck several times and driven away without paying.
