Cambridge man dead after dirt bike hits SUV

A 31-year-old man is dead after police say a dirt bike hit an SUV just before midnight Wednesday in the area of Dudhope Avenue and South Street in Cambridge.

A 31-year-old Cambridge man is dead after the dirt bike he was driving collided with an SUV late Wednesday night.

Police were called to the area of Dudhope Avenue and South Street in Cambridge just before midnight. An investigation found the man on the dirt bike was going west on South Street when police say he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a KIA SUV, which was going south on Dudhope Avenue.

The impact caused the dirt bike rider to be thrown off the bike. He was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
