Construction closes section of the Hanlon in Guelph for 3 months

The Hanlon Expressway in Guelph will be closed in both directions for the next three months between Speedvale Avenue and Woodlawn Road as part of a long-term construction project.

The Hanlon Expressway in Guelph will be closed in both directions for the next three months between Speedvale Avenue and Woodlawn Road as part of a long-term construction project.

A multi-use pedestrian and cycling path is being built on the north and south end of Woodlawn.

Construction involves replacing an underground sewer, storm sewer and water main pipes from Regal Road to Silvercreek Parkway.

Traffic is being rerouted to Speedvale Avenue, Silvercreek Parkway and Woodlawn Road.

The project is scheduled to be finished by June 2019.

The Hanlon expressway is closed for the next three months, in both directions at Speedvale Avenue to Woodlawn Rd. Use Speedvale Avenue, Silvercreek Parkway and Woodlawn Road as alternate routes. (Submitted photo: City of guelph)
