A Kamloops church gets a new lease on life and roofers are praying the weather is on their side. Steep slopes and slick shingles are giving the roofing crews challenges.

A church roof is presenting a steep challenge to a team of pros who are racing against time to get the shingles in place before the weather turns.

The historic St. Paul's Cathedral  was originally built in the West End in 1888.

Then it was moved in pieces to 4th and Nicola in 1924.

Daybreak dropped in to see how the roofers were making out.
