Rental chickens coming to Kamloops

Ron and Marie McGivern have decided to start renting chickens this spring. People will be able to rent small groups of chickens for the summer complete with a moveable coop and feed for the season.

A Kamloops area couple have teamed up with an American company to rent chicken in the spring.

When Ron and Marie McGivern decided to get into the rental market. They didn't choose to start renting properties, they chose chickens. The Kamloops area couple joined up with a company called Rent The Chicken. The pair are just getting ready for their first season and hope to have chicken available for rental next spring. The CBC's Jenifer Norwell stopped by their property in Cherry Creek to find out more.
