Will the Kamloops Marathon ever attract crowds and runners from far and wide? Organizer says yes.

Racers from across the province came out to the Kamloops marathon yesterday. People competed in full and half marathons along with the more manageable distances of three and eight kilometres. It attracted hundreds of racers and a good number of fans.

But there's desire to grow the event even more. Christopher Seguin is one of the organizers of the Sport Chek Kamloops Marathon. He joined us in studio to tell us how it went. 

Also, Daybreak's Jenifer Norwell talked with some of the participants about the race.
