Kamloops company wins award for drones
It started as a project at TRU. An idea to build drones to help fight wildfires. That led to a start-up company and last night, in Vancouver - a major award. We talked with founder of Hummingbird Drones
HummingBird Drones makes unmanned aircraft to help in the fighting of wildfires.

A young Kamloops company received a big award in Vancouver last night. HummingBird Drones makes unmanned aircraft. The venture was started by a group of Thompson Rivers University students with the help of Kamloops Innovation and the local start-up community. Robert Atwood is Humminbird's CEO.
