Hospital eyes Furby ban
Furby, the hot toy sensation, is under the microscope at a Calgary hospital over reports that the fuzzy, electronic creature causes medical equipment to malfunction.
At Alberta Children's Hospital, all Furby's on the wards have had their batteries removed. Officials expect it's a temporary measure.
Gary Taylor, manager of biotechnical engineering, says the toy has passed tests so far. If tests find the toy's electronics don't interfere with hospital machines, young patients will be allowed to reactivate their Furbys.
A hospital in Scotland has banned Furbys from its wards.
