Hamilton police found two bodies at an east-end home on Thursday, but are so far saying little about the deceased people or their circumstances.

Const. Indy Bharaj says police were called to the home on Woodbridge Road, which is a few blocks east of Kenilworth Avenue, mid-morning on Thursday. Officers found two bodies there and continue to investigate at the scene, which is near King Street East.

Woodbridge Road is a short residential street that contains almost exclusively detached wartime houses. Photos and video from the scene show police tape surrounding the small front yard, wrapping around a neighbouring home's mailbox stand and a nearby utility pole.

A man in a camouflage sweatshirt and jacket can be seen pacing in an alley between the two homes, and later speaking with police.

Paramedics were also on the scene.

"It is early in the investigation. There is a large police presence in the area … Traffic in the area is not affected," police tweeted at about 12:45 p.m.
