Hamilton police are searching for a video that could show how a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured while attempting a "stunt" in a Waterdown parking lot Thursday morning.

The teen was taken to hospital around 1 a.m. after police were called to 115 Hamilton St. for reports that a pedestrian had been hit.

The 18-year-old female behind the wheel of the 2012 Hyundai Accent involved in the collision wasn't injured.

Police say the teenagers knew each other and "may have been attempting a stunt together" when the girl was injured.

Officers believe several people saw and recorded the incident. The service is asking anyone with video of the crash to contact them.
