Hamilton police search for stolen #840 Attridge school bus involved in crimes
The public is warned to not approach the bus if they see it
Hamilton Police Service is looking for a stolen Attridge Transportation school bus that has been involved in numerous suspected crimes. The bus is "short style" and is numbered 840.
It was initially stolen from 465 Rennie St, the Attridge Transportation compound.
Police told CBC News there has been one confirmed theft — a "gas drive-off" on Saturday afternoon — several other suspected, but not confirmed, thefts.
While the crimes are "minor," police say they are not sure if there might be more they don't know about yet.
Police also said the bus has not been staying in one part of the city but crossing multiple divisions.
The suspect seen operating the bus is a white man and was last spotted wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat, a bomber-style jacket with a hood, dark pants with light-coloured stripes on the sides. He was also wearing runners.
Police warn to not approach the bus if they see it and to report it immediately by calling 905-546-2963.
