30-year-old man dead after St. Catharines stabbing: police

Police were called to the area of Queenston Street and Eastchester Avenue where a man was found with life-threatening injuries just before midnight Monday.

A 30-year-old man is dead, Niagara police say, after a stabbing in St. Catharines.

Police were called to the area of Queenston Street and Eastchester Avenue just before midnight Monday.

The man was found with life-threatening injuries and rushed to hospital where investigators say he was pronounced dead.

A 24-year-old man and 26-year-old man, both from St. Catharines, have been taken into custody, according to an update the service shared Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and two crime scenes are being held, the first at Queenston and Eastchester and the second at the corner of Lorne and Queenston streets.
