Ship radiators and 1,800 kg of lead stolen from shipping container in Port Dover: OPP
The items taken during both thefts are valued at $5,000
Provincial police in Port Dover are searching for a group of suspects who, they say, stole several large ship radiators and more than 1,800 kg of lead.
Officers were called to a shipping yard on Chapman Road East Friday around 1:25 p.m.
Investigators determined that during the early morning hours people had forced entry into a shipping container and removed the radiators, according to Const. Ed Sanchuk.
Police also determined suspects had also taken the heavy lead from the property the night before — the items taken during both thefts are valued at $5,000.
Surveillance images of the suspects have been released and the OPP is asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact them by calling 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
