Police looking for 5 masked men after street robberies on Mountain

Police are looking for four or five men believed to be involved in three street robberies Tuesday night.

Hamilton police are looking for five masked men who they say robbed multiple people on the Mountain last night.

The first incident happened at 9:30 p.m. near West 5th Street and Randal Avenue. "Four to five" suspects approached a man, assualted him from behind and demanded his cell phone, police said. 

Then, 15 minutes later, near Upper Wentworth Street and Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway, five suspects approached a man and demanded his phone, cash and backpack, police said. That victim was also assaulted and two of the suspects revealed that they had weapons.

And then at 10:30 p.m., near Sanatorium Road and Scenic Drive, five suspects approached two male youth victims, demanding their cell phones and wallets and assaulting them, police said. 

Police asked anyone who knows anything about the alleged robberies to give them a call or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
