Planes collide on tarmac at Welland airport
Niagara Regional Police say the pilot of one plane suffered non-life-threatening injuries
Transport Canada is investigating after two planes collided while on the tarmac at the Welland Airport.
Niagara Regional Police say the pilot of one plane — its lone occupant — suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
They say a pilot and four passengers were on board the second plane but no one was injured.
Police say the crash was minor but Welland Fire Services was called in to help clean up fuel at the scene. Police say they were called to the crash site at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
