3rd teen arrested in connection with Fort Erie shooting
19-year-old faces firearm and assault charges, as well as robbery charges
Niagara police have arrested a third teenager, a 19-year-old, in connection with a Fort Erie shooting.
Police were called to the shooting at Ridge Road N. and Hibbard Street on April 14 around 11:45 p.m. A 23-year-old man had a serious gunshot wound, officers said, and was taken to hospital.
Police said they were searching for three people and arrested two teenagers a couple of days later.
A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, both from Fort Erie, face charges of aggravated assault and assault.
Police also arrested and charged another 19-year-old man from Fort Erie on Thursday.
The man has been charged with pointing and discharging a firearm, along with other firearm charges including unauthorized possession, careless use, and possession contrary to a prohibition order.
He also faces charges of aggravated assault, assault, and robbery.
The man is expected to appear in court on April 21.
