Hamilton man faces charges after voyeurism incident at Burlington mall
A Hamilton man is facing charges in connection with a case of voyeurism at Burlington's Mapleview Mall.
On Sunday at around 1:40 p.m., three female minors were shopping at a store when they sensed that a man was following them closely.
One of the girls noticed that the man was holding a cellphone, apparently recording a video of the buttocks of one of her friends, according to Halton police.
The girls confronted the man, who then fled the shop. The youths followed the man and alerted mall security. They detained him until police arrived.
Halton police charged the 40-year-old suspect with mischief and voyeurism. He is scheduled to appear in a Milton court on Feb. 20.
