Every day, musicians write, record and release new music in Ontario — so each week, we're bringing you some of our favourites.

Music columnist Adam Carter is on CBC Radio One's In the Key of C and Big City Small World on Saturdays, with your guide to what's new and exciting in Ontario music.

Here are this week's picks:

The Elwins: Don't Walk Away From Me

The pride of Keswick Ont. is back with Don't Walk Away from Me

It's from The Elwins' third full-length record Beauty Community, which is out on Oct. 13.

This tune will effortlessly burrow itself into the back of your brain.

Day Trip: Electric Lilies

Electric Lilies has an unbridled kind of enthusiasm about it.

The band says it "captures the essence of the Queen Street West rock scene."

If you're around the GTA, you can check them out yourselves at the Velvet Underground on Oct. 4.

Alpha Cub: Don't Waste My Love

Alpha Cub is back with a brand new track called Don't Waste My Love.

This an incredibly sleek tune, with a definite Killers vibe.

The production is very modern, but still totally reminds me of the 80s.

GTHA listeners can catch Adam on Big City Small World on Saturdays at 5 p.m. ET, on 99.1 FM. Listeners across the rest of the province can hear him on In the Key of C at 5 p.m.
