A Woodstock, Ont. father has died of his injuries, provincial police say, after he was pulled from a pond by a family member following a rollover crash in Haldimand County.

Emergency crews were called to Haldimand Road 3 around 6:15 p.m. on August 31 after a witness reported a vehicle left the road, rolled into a pond and landed on its roof, say police.

A family member who was following behind in another vehicle managed to pull the driver and two children —an eight-year-old-boy and five-year-old girl — from the vehicle before first responders arrived, according to police.

Neither of the kids were hurt, but investigators say their father suffered life-threatening injuries.

The OPP have identified the father as 38-year-old Jesse Milner. He was pronounced dead in hospital on Tuesday.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision and ask anyone with information to contact them.
