Burlington man dies after SUV crashed into his motorcycle: police

Police say the Burlington man who was injured after an SUV crashed into his motorcycle has died.

After suffering life threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash on Monday, police say that a Burlington man has died. 

At around 6:22 p.m. on Sept. 2, Halton regional police were called to a crash at the intersection of Plains Road East and Cedarwood Place in Burlington. 

Police say a 46-year-old woman was driving a Honda Pilot SUV eastbound on Plains Road when she attempted to turn left onto Cedarwood Place. She turned into the path of a Yamaha motorcycle, and the vehicles crashed. 

The 60-year-old driver of the motorcycle suffered head injuries and was sent to hospital in critical condition. On Tuesday night, he died. 

The collision reconstruction unit is taking care of the investigation, which is ongoing.
