Man charged with voyeurism after recording woman changing at Limeridge Mall

Officers were called to the mall on Upper Wentworth Street around 6 p.m. on April 12 after two witnesses told store staff and a female victim that a man was recording her.

Hamilton police have charged a man with voyeurism after witnesses reported he was taking pictures of females inside a change room at Limeridge Mall.

Police are now looking for those witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to the mall on Upper Wentworth Street around 6 p.m. on April 12 after two witnesses told store staff and a female victim that a man was recording her, according to police.

After being confronted, the suspect fled the mall. He was chased across the parking lot and toward the nearby Staples store by an off-duty officer and detained until uniform officers arrived and arrested him.

The 23-year-old is charged with voyeurism and has been released on a promise to appear in court on May 13.
