Brantford police investigate billboard depicting Justin Trudeau beside image of Hitler
Billboard depicts Trudeau performing Nazi salute beside Hitler next to the phrase 'Trudeau 4 Treason'
Police in Brantford, Ont. are investigating a billboard depicting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wearing a Nazi uniform standing beside Adolf Hitler.
Robin Matthews-Osmond, a spokesperson for the Brantford Police Service, says officers are looking into the report of the offensive billboard near the corner of Colborne Street and Alfred Street, near the city's core.
An image of the billboard surfaced on social media Monday afternoon, the same day police began investigating.
The billboard depicts Justin Trudeau performing the Nazi salute beside Hitler next to the phrase "Trudeau 4 Treason."
Hitler led Nazi fascists in Germany during the Second World War when roughly six million Jewish people were murdered during the Holocaust.

"Issues such as this are concerning due to their offensive and divisive nature," Matthews-Osmond wrote.
The communications team for the city of Brantford said the owner removed the sign and that it "unequivocally denounces discrimination of any kind based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age or mental or physical disability."
It's unclear what charges could stem from the investigation.
