Ingersoll man dies of injuries after 'devastating' crash that sent 10 to hospital
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and police say charges are pending
An Ingersoll man who was riding in a pickup truck involved in a five-vehicle crash described as "devastating" by the OPP has died of his injuries.
Kevin Coutts was one of 10 people taken to hospital after the crash on Highway 24 in Norfolk County on Oct. 15.
The 40-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Hamilton hospital for treatment, according to police. He was pronounced dead on Nov. 6.
Police say the multi-vehicle collision happened after a pickup truck travelling south prepared to turn onto Norfolk County Road 19 East was rear-ended, causing the chain-reaction crash.
Photos from the scene showed crushed vehicles and mangled metal.
