Police trying to identify man after indecent act at Hamilton library

The man was standing near a window at Sherwood Public Library when someone witnessed the act around 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 26, according to police.

Hamilton police are searching for a man who allegedly committed an indecent act at Sherwood Public Library.

The man was inside the building on Upper Ottawa Street and standing near a window when someone witnessed the act around 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 26, according to police.

Investigators say the witness reported what happened to library staff, but the man was already gone.

Now police are asking the public for help identifying the suspect.

He's described as a man about 30-years-old with a bald or shaved head who was wearing a black sweater with a red and grey patterns, blue jeans and large headphones.

Anyone with information about him is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
