Hamilton food trucks are now free to roam around many more city streets.

City council passed a bylaw amendment Wednesday evening that lets food trucks park and serve customers 30 metres from brick and mortar restaurants.

This is a much smaller buffer than the previous bylaw, which restricted trucks to stay 100 metres away from restaurants.

Food trucks still have to stay 100 metres away from parks, hospitals and schools.
