Fire destroys Ralph's Auto shop on Munroe Street Thursday
Damage is estimated at approximately $500,000

Ralph's Auto on Munroe Street was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon.
The Hamilton Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Ralph's Auto shop at 64 Munroe Street just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
When the first firefighters arrived the building was engulfed in heavy smoke. More fire crews were called to the scene.
Firefighters entered the garage but had to back out due to concerns over the stability of the roof. The fire soon spread from the garage to the attic of a home connected to the auto shop.
Fire officials say both the home and the garage suffered "substantial" damages. The people who lived at the home are being helped by the Red Cross for alternate living arrangements.
No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at approximately $500,000. The Office of the Fire Marshal was contacted for their assistance in determining the cause of the fire.
