Hamilton police arrest 3 teens and a man for 5 east end shootings in late December

Three 17-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man are facing numerous gun charges as Hamilton police say they are responsible for five shootings in late December.

Police say the east end shootings occurred between Dec. 21 and Dec. 25

Hamilton police have charged three 17-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man with numerous gun charges related to five shootings in late December.

Police say the east end shootings occurred between Dec. 21 and Dec. 25.

A shooting on Dec. 21, injured a 20-year-old man, according to officers.

"Following the initial assault, shootings were reported in a rural area and at three separate residences over the next few days," reads a release from police. 

"As the investigation progressed, it became clear that each of the individual incidents were closely related."

Police say specialized units, officers and the public were able to help identify four suspects.

One of the 17-year-olds was involved in all five shootings. Another 17-year-old was involved in the first, third and final shooting. The other 17-year-old was involved in second shooting — and he is still wanted. The 20-year-old was involved in all but the first shooting.
