Police say man seen near fatal stabbing of Michael Gallo now a suspect
Gallo, 34, died of his injuries on Thursday
Investigators say a man who was seen in the area where Michael Gallo was stabbed and killed Thursday is now considered a suspect.
The man was nearly hit by a vehicle while crossing Main Street West at Haddon Street around 8:20 p.m that night, say police.
They describe him as slender, standing about 5'9" and wearing a grey sweater with black sleeves and the hood pulled over his head. He was also wearing a blue surgical mask.
Police were called to a home near the same intersection at 8:25 p.m. that night following reports of a stabbing.
Emergency services found Gallo, 34, with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where police say he died of his injuries.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the suspect crossing the road to contact them.
They're also calling on homeowners in the Westdale area to check their cameras for any surveillance footage of someone matching the man's description.
